Welcome to the website of the Londhéřov rectory reconstruction project. You are looking at the product of artificial intelligence. This is what the rectory will look like in a few years after the completion of the extensive reconstruction. For several decades, it slept like Sleeping Beauty, waiting for us to wake it up from its long sleep and breathe new life into it. As a native of Jindřichův Hradec, I could no longer look at the ruin. I saw the rectory for the first time in 2020 and it waited for me for 6 long years until June 2026. I decided to buy it and repair it. I dedicate all my time, energy, skill and, last but not least, money to this beautiful monument. The rectory was built between 1724-1730. Minor modifications were made in 1827, but no repairs have been made since then, which on the one hand protected the building from insensitive, unprofessional interventions and reconstructions of the communist regime, but on the other hand the building had the so-called "five minutes to twelve." The property has beautiful stucco decoration with fabions, stucco ceiling mirrors in almost all rooms, period tiled stoves and also two wall paintings in the salon on the first floor from the first half of the 18th century. The Baroque rectory building is an important architectural element and, together with the church of St. Peter and Paul and two statues of St. John and Thaddeus in front of the entrance to the rectory, creates an important visual dominant of the village. Visitors to the rectory and the entire area can tour the building during the reconstruction and learn not only interesting things about the reconstruction of monuments, but also something about the history of the village, which is mentioned in writing as early as around 1292. The first written mention of the village is from 1294 as the property of Oldřich II. of Hradec, lord of Jindřichův Hradec and Telč. You will learn more about the village and its eventful history during the tour. Please come in.....
